Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage to perform the execution of Cathodic Protection activities / projects, which include evaluating, selecting, designing, installing and commissioning cathodic protection systems for various metallic structures involved in on shore and offshore.
  • Perform duties related to planning, designing, specifications, and expansion of larger-scale projects involving managing staff, subcontractor labor and / or equipment.
  • Accountable for current and new business development, improving margins, competitive defense and standardizing services offered to maintain and grow the business.
  • Perform and / or supervise performance of field surveys, testing and commissioning.
  • Analyze field and other data to determine data quality and completeness.
  • Develop, organize and maintain engineering specifications / standards for engineering staff by consolidating and assimilating best operating practices.
  • Design models and processes using technology to create efficiencies and enhance utilization.
  • Assist in the ongoing training and education matters.
  • Participate in appropriate industry associations and groups to represent the company.
  • Conduct Design review meetings with engineering staff.
  • Responsible for cost forecasting and tracking, project prioritization, and project implementation.
  • Conduct contract review meetings with estimation / coasting team and clients.
  • Execute / implement projects complying client HSE and quality requirements.
  • Execute specialized surveys, feasibility studies, diagnostic surveys etc.
  • Ability to cope with conflicting deadline, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities with emphasis on continuous improvement and team building, and interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Cathodic Protection experience with services and product projects within Oil & Gas, Water & Waste water Industry.
  • Proven management of $1M projects.
  • Experienced in working directly with client engineers and other contacts.
  • Must be able to partner with several groups within the company and customers.
  • Must be able to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Extensive knowledge and application of International standards like NACE, ISO, BS, DNV, DEP etc.

NACE Certified CP Engineer

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

  • The primary role of the Cathodic Protection Engineer is to perform Cathodic Protection activities, which include evaluating, selecting, designing, installing and commissioning cathodic protection systems for various metallic structures involved in on shore and offshore.
  • Capable of being the face of the Project Engineering and execution Department, so solid verbal and written communications are needed. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Preparing engineering specifications, design guides, design calculations, drawings and material requisitions.
  • Reviewing engineering designs, drawings, reports, and specifications for equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Organize and lead Cathodic Protection Surveys.
  • Review and analyze field data and prepare detailed analytical reports to submit to clients.
  • Troubleshoot cathodic protection system, DC interference and AC interference problems.
  • Develop material requisitions and specifications for equipment where deviations from standard documentation are required.
  • Performs special tasks, calculations / studies and provides leadership, training, and consultation to technicians / supervisors, junior level engineers / drafter subordinates.
  • Responsible to produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope.

  • Evaluate, review and assign actions to support resolution of issues identified in the project Issues Evaluation Reporting tool.
  • Perform the role of Originator or Checker with extensive knowledge of NACE and other international standard requirements, for Calculations, Specifications, Layout drawings, Standard Installation Details related to Cathodic Protection.
  • Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for the preparation of design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks.
  • Prepare detailed analytical reports on the specialized surveys, feasibility studies, diagnostic surveys etc.
  • Ability to cope with conflicting deadline, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities with emphasis on continuous improvement and team building, and interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with 10 years of related design experience.
  • Minimum of NACE CP3, Cathodic Protection Technologist, or higher.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft office programs and other computer programs.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of International standards like NACE, ISO, BS, DNV, DEP.
  • Excellent oral & written communications skills.
  • Proven leadership and personnel skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to travel to project sites internationally

CP Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and provides technical support to assure compliance with the company’s external and internal corrosion control programs in Cathodic Protection.
  • Supervises and provides technical support for troubleshooting of various cathodic protection systems for onshore and offshore applications.
  • Participates in project planning based on risk assessment
  • CIPS and DCVG survey project scope development, data analysis and provide appropriate remedial recommendations.
  • Provide technical expertise and problem solving to field technicians in all areas of cathodic protection system application and complex interference testing.
  • Plan and implement pre-design surveys to assist design engineers gathering all related field data with reports.
  • Provide technical support services normally to Field Operations, Operations Services, and Engineering.
  • Execute ON/OFF, AC/DC interference and diagnostic surveys and prepare reports
  • Execute specialized surveys like CIPS, DCVG and prepare detailed reports
  • Prepare project execution plan, schedule for the proper implementation of CP projects
  • Gather details from field and documents and prepare estimations to assist Estimation engineers.
  • Interact effectively with the team members for the smooth execution of CP installations and commissioning.
  • Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent. NACE CP Level I or II Certification
  • A minimum of 5 years of responsible experience in supervisory level.
  • Strong team, internal customer service skills and problem solving skills are a must
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Individual must be a self starter, able to work without direct supervision, willing to travel, have strong planning and scheduling abilities, good communications skills, and be able to function in a team environment or as team lead.
  • This position requires analytical skills and the ability to complete tasks and assignments.
  • Application of about various international standards like, NACE, BS, DNV, DEP etc.

CP Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties involved with CP surveys, testing, evaluation and installation of cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion on various on shore and offshore structures.
  • Work with specific objectives and instruction from senior staff on customer drawings and specifications
  • Conduct various specific tests to gather data from field as well as documents for evaluation purposes
  • Conduct specialized surveys like CIPS, DCVG and prepare field reports
  • Conduct ON/OFF, AC/DC interference and diagnostic surveys and prepare field reports
  • Gather structure-to-soil potentialdata, soil resistivity measurements and rectifier data
  • Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings
  • Sketch physical features of installation in the site for subsequent details.
  • Assist senior staff in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports
  • Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations
  • Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
  • Assemble, trouble shoot CP components, equipment etc. including transformer rectifiers.
  • Provide maintenance of field test equipment, ensure good operating condition and render minor repairs.

Qualifications:

  • NACE CP Level I or II Certification
  • Basic Operator Qualifications required
  • 3 years Cathodic Protection system testing and troubleshooting experience required
  • Must be well exposed to different CP system applications in on shore and offshore.
  • Must be able to travel to customer sites each week and sometimes over the weekends
  • Communication skill to work with clients and project team members.
